Just a quick one this time, to mention that my last payout reached the heady heights of $54.44! This included a small amount of affiliate earnings, but alas - I've not had time to break it down this month.
The affiliate payments are going really well this month with several lenses earning double figures, but my CJ is still a slow burner.
December's lens building has been non-existent, but I am hoping to create at least 8 in the latter half of the month so that I can reach a total of 60.
It's unlikely that I will repost before Xmas so I wish anyone reading this a Merry Christmas in the meantime!

Squidoo and the Art of SEO
Now that I have passed the 50 lens mark and have 3 lenses in the Top 1000, I am taking a short break from Squidoo to concentrate on developing our own online business.
In some ways, the Google slap has been beneficial for me because it has drawn me back to the more important tasks that I should be doing. There is no doubt that Squidoo has enormous potential as a passive income stream, but it takes a huge amount of time to develop this into a decent earner - time which I need to be investing in our own initiatives right now.
However, I do not regret spending the last 5 months on Squidoo at all. I recently downloaded Aaron Wall's SEOBook so that I could learn more about keywords and SEO. And guess what? I found out that I knew a lot about it from Squidoo! Aaron's book just drew it all into perspective.
I plan to take at least a week's break from building lenses - possibly two - so that I can fully develop search terms for our website ready for 2008, but then I'll be back to continue the exercise. Happy Squidoo-ing!
